300 Hour Mentorship + Final Assessment

This part of the program is to be completed in your last year of the training. It will comprise of several parts.

1) Eight 1x1 mentorship sessions with Steph. Steph will attend 3 of your classes to assess whether the information from the training is being applied with integrity. There will be 3 feedback sessions about the classes and the other 5 1x1 sessions will cover business practices, ethics, creating a guiding vision for your future and feedback on your final assessment.

2) Written Assessment. You are to chose 3 from the following suggested topics and write at least 500 words to be reviewed by Steph.

  • What is your understanding of modern postural Yoga in relationship to traditional Yoga?

  • What is the difference between Yoga and stretching?

  • What is the relationship between Asana and Yoga philosophy?

  • How have you contributed to modern yoga?

  • Who owns Yoga?

  • What is your understanding on the history of Yoga?

3) Personal Practice. You will be asked to chose a 12 week time frame where you can commit to a minimum of 2 self practices a week for at least 30 minutes. After the 12 weeks, you are to write at least 500 words explaining what you learned/your expereince, what was difficult to commit to, and how you see you self practice in your life moving forward.

4) Asana assessment. You are to send in videos of yourself doing the following poses. The purpose of assessing your physical practice is to observe your quality of practice and ability to modify. Do not confuse this with an egoic display or assessment of one’s body. Advanced asana required commitment, integrity, knowledge and skill. Your practice on the mat will act as a mirror for your relationship to yoga and teaching.

  • 5 Sun A’s and 5 Sun B’s

  • Crow for minimum of 5 breaths

  • Wheel for a minimum of 5 breaths

  • Headstand for a minimum of 1 minute

  • Handstand or handstand hops for a minimum of 30 seconds

  • Splits for a minimum of 5 breaths

Your final assessment and mentorship count towards 30 hours. Once this final assessment and 1x1 sessions are complete, you will receive your final certificate.

The cost for this is £500. Please note this is to cover the costs for the mentorship. You are not being charged for your final assessment hours.
